Took the day off to take Ripley to the vet. The female vet was very kind, wearing blue scrubs and had brown curly hair. Their office is a ten minute walk away in Columbia City.
I lied and said I hadn't done a heartworm test before.
But I did say that I had been giving Ripley the monthly Heartgard medication. She didn't ask if I had a prescription or where I bought it.
Took a mostly cold shower which felt great in the heat.
Went downtown to get lunch at Cafe Zum Zum. Had red bean curry and lamb with spinach. Only ate about half due to my aching teeth, brought the rest home to Ripley.
There were actually people checking fares on the train coming home. Their clothing said "Fare Ambassadors". They're not police or security, so I assume they just tell you how to pay if you didn't. They were both white guys in their late twenties with multiple tattoos and baggy clothes. They scanned your Orca card with a phone-like device.
